Matching set

This is a matching set of 8 x 8 inch dishes, slumped into a sushi style bowl. These are made from Bullseye glass, which is a little different for me, I usually work with Spectrum system 96 glass. This is a matching set in a "retro" design. They were sandblasted to achieve a matt finish instead of a high gloss.

Fused glass dish

7 inch by 12 inch fused glass dish. This is strip cut construction where each strip of glass is cut to 1/4 inch wide and stood on end to create the dish and pattern. My friend Paul created this pattern during the Thanksgiving weekend. It was his first introduction to fused glass. I decided to keep the original glossy finish on this piece.

Float glass dish

Float glass dish. Float glass is window glass. This is made from 3/8 inch thick, float glass slumped into a 7 x 7 inch mold and sandblasted to a matt finish.

New Rose Panel

I worked on this panel over the weekend. It's almost finished but I still have to put it in a wooded frame. The last decision will be to decide if the frame should be dark wood or a light wood. Hope to finish it up in a week or so.
